Dude, I don't know what issues of X Factor you are reading but you just described the character Layla Miller?!?!?! 
Lila Cheney has been around for decades....

....which has been great so far (though I think I'm in a minority, I've loved Ellis's Astonishing). The next issue of which is due soon 
if Lila Cheney were to return, X-Factor would be a good place for her imo.
going by memory here but a few years ago (2006?) there was a Valentine's Day (?) issue called My Mutant Heart, which had three short stories - a Cannonball/Lila, alongside a Doop (Milligan) and Wolverine (Way)...can't think off hand who actually wrote the one with Lila.
I don't think Lila's seen any significant use in a key title since Claremont was in X-treme mode...???

Isn't there a brood in Planet Hulk ? Wasn''t one of Hulk's gladiator companions a brood ?
What happened to the whole race, I don't know.
And the Beyonder was found dead during Annihilation...(can't recall what issue, though..)
The Molecule man made a short reappearance during Dark Reign, but he just wanted to be left alone. (Don't know what issue this was either, sorry.)

Thanks for the info...always loved the Brood...Beyonder dead?????...I'm with u BC...that was my initial reaction when I read the post...I always thought MM was a bad a$$...turned into Morlock from the Watchmen...wtf?
