Heralds of Galactus "Elements"?

Question:
A long long time ago, before I was even really into the whole "Cosmic" thing in comics, I heard that Galactus's Heralds where created after Elements....
Now, for someone like Terrax, Firelord, and Nova, these elements are obvious and clear: They use it in almost anything they do, any power they use...
Now, there is "Air" in Gabriel Air-Walker's name, but his wings are fire, and he never used anything "air"-like that I know of...
The Silver Surfer obviously has a Surfboard, which would suggest "water", but again, besides that, there just wasn't anything "watery" about him...
Stardust has an "Aquatic" look to him, and Morg looks like he was made from volcanic rock, but, again, there is nothing "Elemental" about them...
And then there is Red Shift...What's his Element?

Does anybody have any idea if it is true that the Heralds are created after the universal Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water?
And has anybody ever seen any Herald besides Terrax, Firelord, and Nova use any sort of "Elemental" power?

I think his early herealds were created from the "elements". but for Nova, I imagined he just empowered her further. she was already "fire". his later ones I figured he just did what he wanted, empowered them as he see fit.

I think Stan and Jack's earlier visions for all of this might have been the elements, looks like it sort of. Later, writers probably had their own vision for what heralds should be like.
