Can Hong Kong Sellers Be Trusted?

Now I am talking about mostly anime statues and figures. I buy all my non anime stuff from U.S. vendors.
So I have received a few fakes from Hong Kong sellers and am to the point now where I almost am finished buying anything from a Chinese Ebay seller. I make exceptions for Hot Toys because of course where else would I get them?
So has anyone else ever bought a fake and if any of you have some overseas sellers who are trust worthy please recommend them. Thanks.

I've not been buying for a few years but will back and try to get a few names of folks a friend of mine told me about. He was from hong Kong. If I cannot find them I bug him for the names and see if they still trade/sell stuff
