Hunger Games 2. 9/10. Very entertaining. As good or better than the first.

Olympus has fallen. 8.5/10. Very good action flick. Surprised me. I really thought this one would suck but it's a really fun watch.

Gravity (10/10). Just back from my third cinema viewing. About a week since my previous outing. I am not exaggerating when I say this is one of the greatest movies ever made and one which must be experienced on the biggest possible screen. I wonder if it will have the same impact at home. It kinda saddens me that I may never get to see it again on the big screen.....who am I kidding I will see it one more time in a couple of weeks time to say a fond farewell. EPIC.

Why do you think it's one of the best movies ever made?

I'll give a longer answer tomorrow but its essentially a very simple story told brilliantly. Very well paced, best CGi to date, best cinematography probably ever with effects never seen before. This is probably what the Lumière brothers envisioned cinema to be when they first invented the medium. (see Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat).

Acting wise I think its Bullocks career best performance. Its not easy carrying a movie essentially by yourself for the majority of the movie. But she pulls it off. Some may feel some of the dialogue is cheesy in places but for me its needed at times to lighten the mood of a mostly tense edge of your seat experience.

Of course this is just my opinion.
