Your post is exactly what made me revisit Ikea's site for measurements, but then I saw they were too short.

So I was like WTF -- how am I going to have mirrors just along the back if it doesn't actually fit the Besta?

I have no need for the shelves or a mirror under the statue -- I just want it to show off the back of the statue and add more like to the black besta.

Now I just need to know how many of those mirror/shelf systems I need to buy for a 3 cube Besta set-up

Looks fantastic.
Do you have the back secured to something to prevent it from accidentally leaning forward?

Do you guys use 2 or 4 screws to attach per shelve? I've currently got some pf's on the middle shelf of my besta with 2 screws but im kinda worried its not enough as theres 4 holes per shelf but only 4 screws come included in the entire pack??

I dont have a Besta but I can assure you the shelf should have 4 points for distributing the weight unless the back of the shelf has some support notch it slides into.

I don't have a solution but I admire the problem.

I use all that they give, if i recall correctly my besta middle had 4 screws for the middle shelf? I'm not home at the moment.

Honestly though i'm paranoid. So i've also bought L brackets for the wall and shelves just to be safe.

No prob with the heat from the Leds ?
How much plug do you use ? On plug for one case ?

Thank you for your help
No, the leds dont give up much heat at all.

Below is a picture of the back of the double besta, if you go to my flicker page you will see more setup photos that might help answer some of your questions.

Hey guys I have a besta and got the inreda light strip but gives off a yellowish halogen light instead of a pure white I was hoping for... I notice a lot of people use dioder lights and am considering getting those because of the multicolor function and the price.. Can anybody chime in on the lighting of a dioder on besta shelf considering it's only 10"? Thanks guys!!!
