This piece is superior to the SS piece. The Sideshow piece is sufficient for me at this time. He is a great character and one that I have a real liking for yet he is not critical enough for me that I need to pay much more for the absolute best piece.

One criticism: base is too large. It's a detractor. Would be nice if he was more "perched" and visible from all angles.

Thankfully, I like the SS version so it's not a complete loss if I don't secure the XM version.

If issues with larger bases are you're hold-up then perhaps XM isn't for you long term. Just sayin....
I like the base on this piece. Goes well with the background of Carnage, isn't a total space hog and allows for dynamic poses. With or without this base, he would never be displayed to see all angles unless you put a mirror behind him. Or on a rotating platform.

In my opinion, this is looking like the definitive Carnage. I like him even better than the XM Venom.

There is something I really like about the SS Carnage (not count the lame EX). It's the colors and the fact it looks like muscle. Doesn't look nearly as vicious as this XM version, but I like it more.
For me, if I was buying these -- XM Venom and SS Carnage.

Usually XM bundles with overstocking statues. It saddened me because secret compass won't bundle the statue I want with venom. I can see it coming for carnage as well.
