They might arrive before Chinese New Year but I kinda doubt it.

I'm surprised so few people went for the standard and deluxe. I guess this really was a "DXS or bust" release.
Remember when DX/exclusive editions were the most limited?

Yeah, that's right. Some shenanigans indeed! I forgot about that... Wow

I’m in for the standard plus the closed mouth bust…the other stuff just felt frivolous…

There may be other factors I don’t know about so take these numbers with a grain of salt:
Closed Mouth bust sales:
500 x $899 = $449,500
Cost to produce $400 (ridiculous, but go with me here)
Profit margin per piece = 55%
Total profit = $249,500
Hypothetical:
1500 x $599 (still high, but reasonable) = $898,500
Cost to produce $400 (ridiculous, but go with me here)
Profit margin per piece = 33%
Total profit = $298,500
Would they have made more $$ if done differently? (Not to mention gaining positivity from their customers, instead of the exact opposite). Something to ponder on ….

^ a simple $100 off for the customer’s that bought the statue would have sealed it with me. As Freaky mentioned, the standard and closed mouth bust was all I needed. But if I miss out on the bust due to my stubbornness, so be it.

Yep the dx bonus having the highest ES seems backwards to me.

Not surprised. Prime 1's strategy worked.
For an extra $500 the DXS just had too many goodies to pass on. From memory the reg version, you couldn't even place the biomask on the base, which was a big turn off for many collectors.
