Thanks for the input Dana! I know photos can be really deceptive for coloring. The Ballad of Beta Ray Bill cover is 1 of my favorite renderings of him. I'll just have to wait to see this in person or see what others say once they have it in person to make a judgement on it.

The coloring on the Bowen bust is more accurate. As Dana stated, the DST bust is a tad too orange... but it doesn't take away from the awesome sculpt. It's a beautiful piece in person. I'm a big BRB fan, so I'm glad I was able to score one without being able to attend the cons.

The height is due to the lack of a base. I wouldn't really say that it's small. If you compare it to the Bowen one, it's actually larger bulk-wise. The only thing that makes the BD one seem bigger, is the cape.

Yes, yes you should. From my understanding, you're a big fan as well... so don't let it be something you regret later on.

I think RenegadeOne is right, that this is a function of the lack of any base. From the photo it actually looks like the figure is the same size as the Bowen bust. A little hard to tell as the Bowen piece is cut of at the waist and is standing upright whereas the DST one goes down to the hips and is leaning forward.

I really like the Lord Thor bust! It looks so true to Tom Raney's art! I may have to get that one and the classic Thor to go with my Raney Lord Thor and Classic Thor sketches...
