I dont know if i liked him better than Lee but i agree on Archangel - definitive in my mind. And same with his Iceman - brought a real energy to X-Factor at the time.

As for the Xbooks - i do see where you're going but theres still only a small number of core books out there. Avoid the peripheral titles if you will..

I still remember my friends and I wishing Portacio would have joined X-Factor a few issues sooner for the Genosha story arc. Lee was doing the X-Men tie in with Liefeld doing the New Mutants tie in.
I reread the x-tinction agenda when I was sorting out the comics, and the art really sucked on the X-factor arc. Shame that whilce didn't draw those 3 issues
