Hey guys and girls outside of the US of A.

I was wondering what tv is like where you live.

Now with satilite and cable tv.

The reason for starting this.........I've seen the new Dr. Who show. Thanks to
a good friend that does some kind of magical download thing.

Any way. What is YOUR contries tv like.
And do you get US of A as it airs here???
Or you on a lag like we are getting your stuff???

Enquirering minds want to know. That was the tagline for a tabloid here in the states.

The UK gets a lot of US shows, but there's plenty of home grown shows. Most of the shows imported into the UK are shown after they have been on in the US, for example Lost is just coming to the end of the second series here, while the third series is just about to start over there. Needless to say, I've been avoiding all the Lost threads like to plague to stay away from spoilers .....

Here in Canada is pretty much like the states. Occasionally we're delayed by a day or so (last season we were a week behind on Smallville). We don't get the Sci-fi channel but do get HBO in the form of the The Movie Channel. We pick up most of the US channels. I'm a high definition snob and so find myself usually watching the US version of a chennel because they normally air in HD.

Oh, and we get "BBC Canada". We got Doctor Whoo last year, shown on CBC.
