This is a nice story to be sure - but unfortunately it's the exception and not the rule - for every story like this there are thousands of horror stories...

Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

get one of those 18 inch navel guns from a battleship-put a hole through the guy's house with one of those and then apologize.
granted the guy will probably be dead, but at least there will be no more worries about stray bullets coming from him anymore.

wow, i just read this.

MinMay, why didn't you call me about this sooner?

well, as a gun owner i would have to say call the police and report it. there is no excuse just because nobody got hurt. i handle my guns with great respect and ALWAYS double/triple/etc check them. this is also done at the ranges where i go. i store my guns unloaded in a safe. if someone were to break into my house i honestly wouldn't be prepared to immediately retaliate because my guns are not only in a safe but also kept behind an always locked room.

i have a 2 year old daughter who i'm most concerned about her safety when it comes to firearms in the house. when she's older i will teach and train her on gun handling and safety.

these kinds of "accidents" should not even happen at home. anything can potentially happen. the fact that a stray bullet reached across from his house means he was pointing it in an obviously unsafe direction.
