Sorry for the delayed response...I was watching Smallville...I have my priorities...

I work for the Post Office...When I started in 1978 it was The Post Office Department...an agency of the Federal Government...I fall under the old rules...As far as where I read it...I spend about 3 hours a day reading news on the Internet...Local paper (McKinney Courier Gazette)...Dallas Morning News...Houston Chronicle...Austin American Statesman...CNN and Fox...I also get information from the Postal Websites a to what is going on concerning our business and Unions...I don't have a clue where the origin of the story came from...I absorb information...I don't make note of the original source...but it was reported on more than one...

Well if McCain wins Pelosi will still be there.. If Obama wins, and he does not want to do this, then what can Pelosi do??

I'm in the car for about 9 hours a day. I listen to Howard Stern for 4 hours, then I listen to a left wing talk show for 4 hours. I come home, go to the gym watch CNN while there. I come home, and turn on MSNBC until 7pm. I read the Los Angeles times every day, and several internet sites. I also work for the Federal Governement, and I have never heard of what you are talking about.

I too watch Smallville...

My whole trouble with Obama is...75% of what he says he will do if elected...Is not within the power of the Executive Branch...McCain is guilty of at least 50%...The American Public listens to speeches of Promises and are ignorant of the facts of Reality...It just don't work that way..."Perception is Reality"..and..."Ignorance is Bliss"...

Actually, I think the "perception is reality" is a world-wide thing, not just an American talent.

Yep, hell's kitchen officially ends at 57th street. Although about a year after I moved there, HK was renamed Clinton. When I moved about completely about 8 years after I moved in, the area was much safer and pretty hip

I'll thros this out for discussion. How extreme or moderate do you rate the candidates? My opinions below on the candidates is based on how they ran against the other members of their respective parties as I think that more accurately depicts their real views and that they will gravitate back toward that once the campaigns are over. I'll use the following scale:

10R (most conservative)
0
10L (most liberal)

McCann 3-4R
Obama 8-9L

Bush was probably 7-8R

what does everyone else think?
