My other "fond" memory of Phoenix is watching the weather for the next day, and hearing the weatherman say "we have a cooling trend coming in tomorrow, so we'll dip down to around 106..." And I'd just sit there sweating and think screw you, weatherman...

That's what they say, but it's complete crap. In Phoenix, anyhow. Tucson, it's actually more true.

That's my problem: The sun and the heat. I'm a freckled red head and I just can't stand the summer. Here in Houston, it doesn't get as hot as Phoenix, but it does stay in the 90s and can get to 100.

I much prefer the winters.

I haven't spent a lot of time in Texas, but what I remember is that it's not so much about the heat, but the humidity. Honestly, all things considered, I'd rather be in a Tucson heat of 110 than a Houston or Dallas heat of 90.

It's funny. Because I must be used to it. I've been to Phoenix and Las Vegas plenty of times during the summer and it just felt like I was standing in front of an oven.

I guess I must be use to the humidity

When does that happen? I'd like to. Sounds like fun. And tickets from here are pretty cheap.

When you said that you were trying to get an APT with a doctor, I thought you might be moving!

The high humidity in the summers in Texas always make you feel like you need a shower. At least in Phoenix it's so hot that even your sweat evaporates!
