Question about Barry Windsor Smith
I've been looking for this, but unfortunately didn't find any information. Does Barry Windsor Smith attend conventions, and does he do sketches there?

Just in case you hadn't seen it, here's the BWS website address with an e-mail address you could try? Could be worth a go

Thanks Royd. Actually yes, I'd seen it and sent an email, but didn't get an answer. I will try again hoping there's some reply this time

It seems I'd sent to a wrong email.
Just received a reply. No convention appearances in the near future, plus a no sketch polict from BWS.
On the other hand, they asked me if i'm interested in any original art. However I think it'll be difficult for me to afford any. I may ask just out of curiosity though for any Red Sonja appearance, let's see how many years i'd need to save to get it, lol!

If I'm not mistaken, BWS has a policy that if you resell any of his art, he gets a percentage of the profit.
so there's that...

Well that'd be no problem, since I'd be getting the piece to keep forever, I got no intention of reselling it afterwards
Well I asked already about some Sonja appearance (unfortunately I can only recall two comics by him with Sonja in them, so it can be quite pricey i bet). Hopefully they have some preliminars or something they can sell for some reasonable amount and i can afford in less than a lifetime!

What if you sell his art for less than you paid? Will he make up the difference for you?

Found something interesting at Albert Moy's site:

Unfortunately, 2000$ for a preliminary is way way way over my budget. (yes it's the preliminary of the first comic with Sonja ever, but 2000$...)

I agree, for $2K, I'd want something a little less "sketchy" and without a honking great crease through the middle.
