Possible problem with EBAS commission

Has anyone on here ever gotten an "at-home" commission from EBAS? On August 9th, he told me I was next & requested payment via Paypal. Since then, I've emailed him a couple of times regarding the status. However, he hasn't replied to any of my inquiries? Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks!

How long ago did you pay? If its not too late I'd file a dispute with paypal to get him to communicate.

If it's past the Paypal cutoff point inform him that you are going to report him to the FBI internet fraud division and give him one more chance to reply. If he doesn't reply then report him. I'm sick of artists who think they don't have to follow any of the laws of other businesses. For the record this is a course of action I was forced to take and I received my $$ eventually.

I am more laid back and would try contacting him again, especially if you want the piece and not your money back.

August 9 to now is not that insanely long of a time

yeah I am still waiting on pieces from artists that I set up in Janunary,February LOL But I am getting tired of the excuses.

It does seem that we give artists a hell of a lot of slack if we were paying for any other collectible we would not wait as long as we do or be as patient with excuses.

Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

EBAS can be erratic when it comes to emails, but to my knowledge, has never 'shafted' anyone on a commission...timeliness can be an issue, as well as communication, but your commission will likely be one you will love...I know that two months can seem to be forever, but in the grand scheme of commissions and artists, it's really not a long time at all...try to relax, and be patient, I'm sure your commission will be a knockout...just out of curiousity, did you you get a 'grail' level commission, or one of the regular copic ones?
