I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Ebay and Paypal are sh!t
I sold an old PC game for £1.20. Buyer left me feedback on 4 Feb. Now their bank have reversed the transaction, so Paypal have taken the money off me and say they wont cover it. I go on Ebay to complain, can find no easy way to contact them, try to make a claim for non payment, but the site just says the transaction was refunded so I cant make a claim. No phone numbers to speak to a human. Paypal site is not much better for trying to get in contact with them.
Its only £1.20, but its the principle of the thing. If this could happen on a more expensive sale, it puts me off using the site full stop.

Why would the bank reverse it? Didn't it go through a Paypal resolution center first before they can take back your funds.

buyer probably just got ahold of his bank and said charges should be reversed. it is that simple with most banks. no questions asked and if you want your money back then you need to get lawyers involved. why go through ebay BS when life is easier going through your card or bank.

Yeah I told Paypal resolution centre that the buyer had already left me feedback, told them to check it out themselves. I foolishly thought that would be that, but no, they let the reversal go through seemingly against logic.
I sent a few irate messages to the buyer, he has come back to me saying his bank made some mistake, and he will send it back through. I may be reunited with my £1.20 after all!
If its that easy to get it reversed, even when the seller has proof the item has been recieved, it gives me pause for thought though.

Your lucky it was only for 1.20 . I have heard of people losing hundreds of dollars many months after the transaction has been done. The chargeback is a double edged sword, it helps buyers if they get scammed by dishonest sellers but it also helps buyers scam honest sellers.

Ebay and paypal are the worst...I lost a few hundred to sold Statues a few years ago and have not used them since, and it was for almost the same reason you have...
