Anyone have a Sony WiFi BluRay player?

I have a few and love 'em.

Under the entertainment section they have Amazon, Netflix, Slacker, Quirocity, etc..

Also have music videos, concerts and movie previews that come as standard "canned" content.

One of the entertainment options is this thing called "Crackle" which has 300+ free unedited movies and . Lots of 'em are cool and although some (ok, most) movies, TV shows are old, they could certainly get a second look from me.

Anyhow.. if you haven't checked it out, take a loko at Crackle. Got some good free movies.

I have a question with this player though.. do they ever update the content that comes with the player? Sure there's the occasional firmware update, but is there any way to refresh what it comes with or what sites it directs you to? For example, ever since I've owned it there has been an ad for "Salt" and a crapload of Michael Jackson music videos.

Is there anywhere in the player I can go to see if there is a refresh option to replace Salt and MJ?

Just wondering if I'm missing something. The extra content is cool, just old and would be awesome if Sony updated it from time to time.

Well both my Playstations both wifi. It's cool that you can watch upcoming trailers. With regards Firmware there has been some great updates including DTS HD and 3D.

On PS3? I got one of them too. Don't use it often though. Is it obvious when you turn it on that these updates are out there or do you have to go to settings to discover and download them?

You can set it to update automatically but generally i just check once a month or so. It's still a great player.
