New digital commission by Dennis Miller
Dennis Miller, AKA jimmymcwicked on DA, was doing a limited number of digital commissions. He had two slots left open, so I snagged the last available slot. For those of you who've never seen his DA page, he's got a knack for drawing beautiful cartoon women. So it was inevitable who I was going to ask for.
Yep, I went and asked for Sandy from Grease. And Mr. Miller delivered the goods:

This commission was arranged last Friday, I just got the artwork today. Don't you just love fast service?

Truth be told, the first round of Grummett commissions? My first choice was originally Sandy. However, commission troubles with another artist resulted in the deservedly-lauded Superman art I got instead. So if there's ever another round of Grummett commissions and I can get in on it, Sandy's getting her turn. I really want to see her in Grummett-vision.
Come to think of it, there's quite a few artists I wouldn't mind seeing take a try at her. We'll see, I guess.

Wow! Big Grease/Sandy fan, eh? Cool! Grummet will do her justice as well, no doubt.

Well, there is the Sandy-centric subgallery on my CAF page:

I may well be the only comic book fan who also had a big enough crush on Olivia Newton-John growing up (and still having a soft spot for her) to have her immortalized as a comic book character. For the most part, artists have been pretty good sports about drawing Sandy. I think Art Baltazar had the most fun of all of them when I asked him to Tiny Titans her (he wouldn't stop quoting the movie), and Steve Jones' assistant at the recent MCCC was elated to find that I'd requested her, being a big ONJ fan himself. Out of the entire group, though, only Katie Cook had drawn her previously. For everyone else, it was their first time.

The way he draws women? I think he'd knock it into orbit.
