Poll: Master Replicas The Enterprise. Who's buying?
Master Replicas celebtrates the 40th anniversary of Star Trek by offering the eagerly awaited studio scale model of the NCC-1701 USS Enterprise. These will sell out pretty fast. Which one do you plan to get?
1. The Regular Unsigned edition limited to 1250
2. The Shatner/Nemoy signature edition limited to 500
3. The Crew signature edition limited to 250
4. I'll keep an eye on eBay and hope for a steal of a deal.
5. Waiting for a Next Generation Enterprise
6. Waiting for the Millennium Falcon
7. I don't trust MR. They will eventually do something that will undermine my investment.

For those wondering, apparently custom made acrylic display cases may be purchased at places like these:
http://store.casesforcollectibles.com/index.html
http://www.displaycaseart.com/
The scuttle butt suggests that a display case for the Enterpise would probably cost $150. I'm not sure if this include a mirror type base.

I'm just going for the base model. A signed plaque that may or may not be genuine doesn't interest me--just give me the starship!
I'd also like to see the refit Enterprise and a DS9 Defiant, and maybe a Millenium Falcon that's small enough to be displayed on a bookshelf--not the size of a coffee table.

More than just the destruction... It would call into question everything they have ever released. At that point, enter class action suit from virtually every featured celebrity and purchaser...
As far as sigs are concerned, MR is totally on the up and up. No reason at all to believe otherwise.
Oh, and welcome to the forum.

That sounded a bit too negative of MR--my bad. I only meant that I'd rather meet the original crew in person and have them sign something for me then buy a plaque or autographed photo. With the $100.00 limited edition coupon, the base Enterprise seems the most cost-effective--or that's what I tried to tell my wife. I can get that version, but I have to do the house-work all by myself for the next 3 months!
Thanks for the welcome!

Along with the signed crew Enterprise, I'm very much waitin' for a signed Millennium Falcon by Han and Chewy. Boy, if we could get one signed by the cast, that is, Luke, Han, Leia, Chewy, C3PO, R2D2, Lando, wouldn't that be something?
Any word on a Star Destroyer?

Given the studios aprove all our products one would assume the signatures are real.
