Is the CM Alien "worth" $1500?

Don't get me wrong,,, this piece is incredible and I don't regret paying $1555 (including shipping) for it but in the world of movie collectables, this is certainly an incredibly high retail price.
I think a more reasonable retail price is $1000 in the same vacinity of the SS Predator.
DISCUSS......

I can't speak for anyone else, and I really think people would need to see this piece in person to decide if it's worth or not, but for me it's WELL worth the price tag. It's an work of art, HUGE in size, and signed TWICE by Giger. A true movie memorabilia piece. Of course, I would prefer a $800-$1000 price, who wouldn't?

Ok, first of all: I don't have it. And CAP already hates me for commenting on it.

From what I've seen so far, the Endoskeleton looks much more complicate to manufacture. And it's the same price if I remember right.
Sure the ALIEN is signed twice by Giger...

Opinions of those who own both?

Again I have not seen the statue in person but from detailed pictures everyone is posting the Endoskeleton blows it away..... just my 2 cents worth!

Don't have the piece too, but after seeing the pictures and owing 3 CM, I can tell it's worthwile, knowing the level of detail of their pieces. Of course, I would like this 'd be cheaper as well , but one thing good is that the sold out is then unlikely to happen fast. This is good too!

Why? I have both pieces and love both.
And if people want to compare the CM Endo, don't compare with the Alien, there's no sense comparing to it. Compare it with other Endos out there, like the Sideshow Endo(s). The CM blows away all of them out of the water.

All CM pieces are awesome pieces in their own right and very detailed. Terminator fans may prefer the Endo and Alien fans the Alien. I love both pieces and can say that to ME both are worth every penny. Alien is my favorite right now, by a very small margin.

I don't have mine yet but after seeing some pics, I think the price point should have been around $1200, like Arnold.

To me, the endo looks like the better value if spending $1500 on a CM.

This may change when I see it in person though.

I wouldn't. I'd prefer $300-$400 myself

And let's put this into perspective with regards to alien collectibles;
People pay a grand for a 1999 Marmit B type stooping statue, which is only about 10" tall and not nearly as detailed,
so personally I'd say hell yeah the CM is worth it!

But yeah, 1200 or cheaper wouldv'e been nice.
