Dale Keown's PITT Glass Display

***Finished***A while back Dale Keown did an article in Wizard discussing drawing techniques, and one of the examples he used was a simple sketch of PITT and Timmy from his Full Bleed title. Once I seen it I knew this sketch would be very versatile with different projects I was looking to have done based on the PITT character. This is one of those projects a glass etched display based on that sketch. I wanted to have the glass display to have a rough/beat up design including damage done to the base. I felt since the character is so violent it would only be fitting the surrounding structure be abused, and also if it did get smacked around it would only add to its character. The images below are from sketch to completed etched glass (The Blue on the back of the glass is tape used in the cutting process), and it took 5 hours for the computer to finish the design. I am still waiting on the base which is being cut from a solid block of aluminum which would finalize the project. You can get a rough idea from the preliminary design how it all will come together. I have included into the base design the PITT logo which will be lighted like the main glass piece.
