Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Question Where to Start?!??!

I was sitting here thinking about all this, and I think I wanna start trying to sculpt. It looks like an awesome hobby, and i would love to get into it, but there's only one problem... i have NO IDEA where to start! so i was just asking maybe some of the veteran sculptors on here, how did you get started? did you read books that you could possibly recommend? i mean i wasnt gonna start most likely untill summer, so i have time to read some books....but yeah do i read something? is it trial and error? i dont know, so if you know anything about sculpting, anything AT ALL!!!! please help! thanks

I'm no vet, infact I'm just starting my second real sculpt after numerous tryouts and little things.
Just buy some Sculpey or Castiline or whatever and sculpt some stuff.
You can find loads of inspiration on this forum and numerous "how to do it".
Don't be afraid to mess up, you can always do another...
