AIX Notice ....crap!
Did anybody else get this.............
April 9, 2007 We are writing you because you placed an order for the Aphrodite IX Artist Proof Statue. It has come to our attention that some of these statues have damage to the large disc on the base. Upon inspection of several pieces in the studio today we have found that on some pieces the styrofoam packing square placed on top of the disc has either stuck to the disc or reacted to it, and as as result it has caused peeling and/or noticeable varnish smears.
As a result, we have temporarily suspended shipping of the Aphrodite IX Artist Proof Statue. We will be doing a piece-by-piece inspection of the statue once we finish shipping the other items that arrived last week (Witchblade Statue, Katchoo Statue, Walking Dead Statuettes.) When we determine the extent of the problem, we will decide how to proceed and will update you at that time.
If you have received a damaged statue, please contact us at service@csmoorestudio.com and we will make arrangements for returning the statue to us at our expense.
Customers with questions about this issue can contact us at service@csmoorestudio.com. Thank you for your continued patience and we apologize for the inconvenience and delay.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I got no problem buying one that's got a flaw just as long as it's not broken.

I couldn't do it. Flaws drive me crazy. Considering all the money we pay for these things we should get statues as close to perfect as possible.
I must say this though, not one statue I have ever purchased has been perfect. I don't believe mint pieces really exist. I think it is near impossible to get a perfect piece and I am OK with that but not OK with something that is definitely preventable. So I applaud them for halting shipping and fixing the problem before it became an epidemic.

I bet it will be weeks but do not take my word for it because I have no official news. I say just be patient because these guys are doing the best they can.

Curious to know. I received a postal tracking number from CSM monday morning. But received the statue flaw email that same nite, does that mean the statue has gone out? I'm dying to see a package on my doorstep each day coming home.
Does anyone got the tracking number also?
