JLA/Avengers

I'm half way though this and enjoying it. Some great moments, and great use of Metron and the various powerful artifacts of each universe. IMO.

My favs:

Wonder Woman battles Hercules, beating him for despoiling her mother.

Supes getting hit by thor's hammer, then martian manhunter and supes giving him a double puch!

Hawkeye using a lead containment arrow on Captain Atom.

And lots of the various dissections between the differences of the two worlds.

And for the record, to me, Batman didn't admit to not being able to beat Cap, but instead offered a better way to use their time than senseless fighting. Him landing on cap's shield just as Cap goes for it is priceless!

While far from perfect, JLA Avengers is my favorite comic book story.

Love these characters together at last and George Perez's artwork.

I only wish it would've been longer than four issues, this deserved a full 12.

Can you believe this isn't in trade format yet? I think the HC has to sell down to a certain level before Marvel could have the tpb published, DC published the HC and must of printed a billion of them.

It was only a few panels and we don't get to see the actual battle but this one I loved.

Wonder Woman, She-Hulk and Queen Hippolyte versus Surtur covering the other heroes.

There is so much to love in these books.

I'm particularly fond of some of the one panel fight scenes. The one with all of the various 'Captain Marvels' and the one with all of the winged heroes resonate with me.

For the record, while I'm at work and don't have the book in front of me, I remember clearly Batman saying that Captain America might be able to beat him but that he'd know he'd been in a fight.

Tet, pic if you please?
