Has this happened before?
Unless Tony gets in a lucky shot when Mags isn't looking, or has the time to prep some plastic-based armor or something, I don't see how IM keeps from becoming suddenly naked.
Of course, there's Extremis, but that's still metal, right? Which might make it even more painful. Instead of just removing the IM shell, it'd be more like pulling Wolvie's adamantium through his pores. Ouch.

Iron Man all the way here guys!
Tony could invent a suit of armor that has no metal in it, and use projectile weapons that use no metal to take Magneto down from a distance.
Okay...I know that Magneto can control the iron in your blood and all.....but if Iron Man can kill Cap...I am sure he can find a way to take Mags down a peg!

Sure, if he had time to prep...
...even with the time, I don't think it'd be that easy. Magneto can create shields of force that could repel a lot of IM's attacks, especially from a distance.

nah....Tony can create an all plastic armor and shoot a plastic tube full of plastic nanobyte robots itno Magnetos exposed neck...then he can take control of Magneto internally.
Magneto is tough...but he is no Hulk!
Remember...Tony is a futurist. he doesnt need time to prep. he has already fought this battle in his mind and made all the necessary arrangements for their eventual meeting.

Doesn't Iron man have a metal chest plate that keeps him alive, or has that been changed ? (have not read an Iron Man comic in over 20 years)
If that is the case Magneto Easy !

Even in his current armour, it's been shown that Iron Man is still vulnerable to EMP attacks
Mags could use one of those, & while the armor is booting up, Mags could crush Iron Man like a can of soda
