XBox 360 Connected To HDMI: Need Help

I just got a Sony 32" flat screen TV.

Now I need to connect my 360 with the HDMI.

I just can't figure out what wires to use?!

How many wires are needed to go from the 360 to the TV?

I have a wire that have 6 "spikes" (picture posted below of that particular wire) That's what I call em anyway. There is a blue, green and red spike and then there are yet another 3 spikes that are white, yellow and red. I know im not supposed to use the yellow one. So 5 of them goes in to the TV.

The problem when I connect that other part of the wire to the 360 (the part with the HD/TV switch) then there is not enoygh room for the HDMI cabel. What am I to do?

I also have a cable that look like this.

When I use this cable, there is room enough for the HDMI cable aswell. I just don't know what to put into the black square and the red and white hole?!

Okay.

I think I nee either 2xRCA connectors or an optical audio (TOSLink)

Does any of these come with the 360 when you buy it?

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

That looks like the component cable to me, there should be a green, red and blue port on the back of your t.v. that corresponds to each cable, then the other red and whit ones are for the sound...

an hdmi cable is very small and doesn't have and colored ports or "spikes" and is used for video and audio so you wouldn't need all that

Also important to confirm is whether or not you have an Xbox that has an HDMI port on it. I don't think they started using those until the first "Elite" model appeared, and I t think that the lower-end models still don't have them .

My Xbox 360 does have a HDMI port. When I bought the consol there was even a HDMI cable included.

The cable I posted about, the ones with the spike's I don't need that at all now after I connected my Xbox with the HDMI cable.

that is a componant lead, a hdmi lead is a single small flat end... brought seperately does make a difference however.

looks like this... http://www.game.co.uk/Xbox360/Hardwa...60-HDMI-Cable/

I connected the HDMI cable and this one

From the Xbox to the TV.

I don't think the HDMI cable works alone.
