camera for underwater photos?

you all seem to know cameras and photography, so i thought i'd ask.

i am planning a shark cage dive trip and was wondering if anyone knew of a good camera for underwater photography. i definitely am a beginner to photography. i need to get a camera body, a wide angle lens and housing. i was wondering if i needed strobes. i was hoping not to get strobes so i can save some cash. but i dont want dark pics neither. i was leaning towards a canon t2i where i can use for day-to-day family use as well.

any info is appreciated. thanks!

I use a Sealife DC1000 elite. It comes with one flash strobe. I use it for reef/fish photography, it's a great camera. Divers Direct has them. They run about $800.
You get the housing, camera, strobe flash and mount.
