Roger Clemens Will Be Indicted for Perjury, People Briefed on Case Say

Federal authorities have decided to indict Roger Clemens on charges of making false statements to Congress about his use of performance-enhancing drugs, according to two people briefed on the matter. An announcement is expected in the near future.

The indictment will come nearly two and half years after Clemens and his former trainer, Brian McNamee, testified under oath at a 2008 hearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, directly contradicting each other about whether Clemens had used the banned substances.

At this point, who cares? Baseball has been permanently stained by all this steriod crap and will always bear the stigma. It's a joke that anyone denies the claims of sreoid use in the league. There just aren't that many people born with no necks. Indict Clemens and you'll have to indict half the league. But like I said, who fukkin' cares anymore?

Boring sport anyways.

Ah yes...who doesn't remember the 2005 Baseball congressional hearings! Seems like yesterday that we hears such hits as...

"I have never used steroids. Period," Rafael Palmeiro said. "I do not know how to say it any more clearly than that."

Sammy Sosa said in an opening statement read by his lawyer: "Everything I have heard about steroids and human growth hormones is that they are very bad for you."

Gotta love it! If they are found guilty they will be held accountable for the legal fees of the prosecution, correct?
