The dude that wrote that article is a known idiot and the Telegraph itself isn't much better.
A quick google search shows the lead scientist involved in the study that the Telegraph is talking about had this to say in response :

There are some drawbacks with wind energy but for accurate info, I wouldn't read the Telegraph.
