Polyurethane or Polyacrylic for polymer clay work table surface?

I just put together a small work station for working with sculpy primarily and just wanted to know if there were issues with either of these two sealers when leaving the polymer clay on it for any length of time?
The urethane is oil based so I don't know if I just try to find the acrylic instead.

(sigh) So absolutely no one out there has any knowledge or opinion on whether polyurethane or polyacrylic will react negatively with oils in polymer clay?

I know enough now not to condition any wood I might consider baking in conjunction with a sculpy figure, but I would like to get the table top sealed with something so the clay doesn't leach into the bare wood when i lay it on there.

any help here would be greatly appreciated.
