I read the first TPB of Ennis's Punisher like 10 years ago or something and it was hillarious

I enjoy it & miss him now that he's gone. Still, Ennis' Punisher is probably my favorite run on a modern comic book. The writing reads like modern crime fiction. There hasn't been anything like it since.

I enjoyed his early work in Preacher but his style became too simplistic looking over time and lost any sort of details. Shame because I do hear good things about this Punisher run.

Well my War of Kings Prelude is at the store waiting for me.
I will have 300 pages left in Sandman vol 1 left, I've decided to read vol 2 next, and then will read the cosmic saga starting with Annihilation Conquest, I read Annihilation last year. Was considering reading a 2nd time I loved it so much.

Agree 100%, and this is what I'm hoping is the basis for some of the Netflix series.
I'd also add that apart from Bendis' DD run or Brubaker's Cap there hasn't been a more consistent run of Marvel comics in 15 years.

Bendis's Ultimate Spider-Man run was really consistant too. It's the longest run of Bendis probably since he pretty much took 616 stories and played with them, he had so many material to use for so long. I really liked the run as far as i read.

I told Ennis last year, when I met him at a signing, that I think his Mother Russia story from his Punisher run would make for just an incredible Punisher movie. I don't see Netflix tackling this story, but maybe for a 2nd or 3rd season. I just pray that the producers chose a complete Ennis' arc for their show. Even Welcome Back Frank would work well.

Mother Russia would work- especially as they could follow up with Valley Forge, Valley Forge, as would Kitchen Irish (get lots of cool villains in and stave off the famous Netflix slump).
Don't think The Slavers would get through...
According to Newsarama, the whole series has finished principal photography now, so an announcement on release dat can't be too far off.

Anyone know if the wonderful Jack Kirby introduction to the Marvel Monster Masterworks collection from the late '80s will be included in the upcoming Monsters Omnibus vol 1?
