Cheung charges $1000 for full figure? Who confirmed that? I thought he only does bust shots at cons.

Yeah he'll only do busts at cons, I'm talking more at home commissions.
I've only heard through word of mouth about Cheung, but when you examine what we do know it seems right.
He charges $300.00 for just a con head shot. In 2009 when he was still doing full body con pieces they were $500.00. Stands to reason on those facts and other artists of his ilk charging $1k, that it's true he is too with the rare full body pieces he does do.

Considering that Chris Stevens charges $400+ for his pieces, I don't see $500 as such a stretch for some of the artists. A grand is to much though for my money for a single figure pen and ink piece (or a penciled piece like Finch does), even if it's cover quality.
Honestly, I still can't believe I paid over a grand for my McHaley painting, but it IS a painting, prominently features two characters, and is in a different class from a pen and ink work.

Confirm Adi. B/W figure drawn to mid thigh is $1000, same figure but with color runs $1200. Prices from Tamsin about 5 months ago. Even his busts are $600-$800.

Rod, with people like Chris Stevens (who is DEFINITELY A list in my book) charging half that, I think those that are charging, and getting, $1k or more for at home single figure commissions would probably be best described as the superstars list. Keep in mind that Finch is getting $1k for a penciled piece done at the convention. I can't see paying Neal Adams (or anyone else) that much for an inked at home piece.
