The $1k Club

Just browsing through a couple of threads and noticing a trend of a few A list artists now charging $1k (and above) for at home commissions.

At this point I believe the 1k Club consists of:

David Finch
Jim Cheung
Ed McGuiness
Ivan Reis is actually charging $1,200 for at home stuff (http://ivanreisdc.deviantart.com/journal/#/d4u7nhu)

Edit: Add Adi Granov Marko Djurdjevic and Sam Keith to the 1k club

And possibly others who escape me at the moment

And of course you can always throw Adam Hughes in there too by default.

So I'm wondering, is $1k officially the standard A LIST commission price now?

At what point do other A listers and fringe A listers who want to be SEEN as A list, start following suit.....

I can't imagine myself paying $1000 for a 1 character commission...

Is Finch charging $1K now? I thought he charges $600 for a full body 1 character?

I'd read somewhere that Finch has jumped to $1k and TC confirmed it in this thread

Well I guess I will never have any "A" list artists commissions as the $200-300 range is my max. I don't think I have a page of original art that cost more than that. Off the top of my head the most expensive commission I have is my water colour Union Jack from Mike McKone.

I have to say the my dream it's to have Black Adam piece by McGuinnes but there's no way I can afford that I'm too broke

man, $1k is really an awful lot of money. hope this A list doesnt get out of control. will others artists start charging more too?

Rocket, i think you could add Granov to that list also.
