I have every Doctor Strange statue and can help you with a pic (sorry, I just came across this thread at this late date), but I don't know to which one you are referring?
There were TWO Diamond Select statues.
The "1602" statue(s) and the more recent "Cover to # 169" statue.
I will be photographing my collections in their entirety for my blog (hopefully sooner than later), and the statues are indeed one of the next subjects for a series.
I can send you a pic immediately, if i knew which you require.
For the history lesson in case anyone wants to know... To date there have been several Doctor Strange statues:
1 - 1997)
F/S/ by Applause (a company known for greeting card things) REALLY NICE piece! Designed by Kevin Nowlan. Possibly the BEST Doc statue ever made.
2 - 2002) Bust - by Bowen
3 - 2004) F/S "1602" version - by Diamond Select.
Two versions. Regular and variant base - signed by Neil Gaiman.
Of course, because I'm insane... I have both.
4 - 2006) F/S by Bowen - Nice, but is a bit lacking in dynamics, and is also sculpted without the long flowing parts of his sash. I think it was a mistake that no one ever noticed before it went to production.
5 - 2006) F/S by Marvel Milestones / Diamond Select.
Supposedly based on the cover of Doctor Strange # 169, it is more like if that scene had continued, since it is NOT a replica of the pose or activity from the cover.
My favorite comic book cover of all time, it should have been my favorite statue, but since they opted not to emulate the actual cover, it fails a bit (for me). But it does come with some cool extras and has a dynamism and texture to the fabrics of his costume that is sorely lacking in the more polished Bowen sculpt.
6 - 2009) "Fine Art" statue (Infinity Gauntlet) by Kotobukiya. A big mash-up of figures that were in the "Infinity Gauntlet" storyline. Doctor Strange is but one of many heroes, villains and entities on this thing. It's a convoluted mess. Doc looks like Sonny Bono. Cool in some ways, but unless you are a die-hard completeist, or can get it cheap (which it ISN'T) then forget it.
Of course, there have been other "figures", like the UK Eaglemoss "Marvel Classic Figurines" or some of the old PVC figures and whatnot... but, while lacking articulation, fall more into the "figurine" category and not the "Statue" forum.
OK. That's all from me.
I hope to be able to help.
Of course, a simple google search does show many pics of all the statues. You could simply type in which statue you want to see.
