Wax Pen / Pressure Pot recommendations?

I want to try my hand at wax...

What brand of waxer / wax pen would you guys recommend? I'm trying to find something affordable but I'd also like to know what the top of the line model is as well.

Also what pressure pot for casting would you recommend? I'm kinda hesitant about converting a paint pot from the hardware store into one but maybe I'll have to do that in the end.

i'd like to get my hands on a waxpen, only cause i have a feeling i can make one out of my tattoo power supply. just dont wanna shell out the 150 for one atm. Ive been lookin at the giles precision waxpen,, if i ever break down and buy one, that will be the one i get.

Hey guys,

Just started playing with wax myself. I bought the Foredom from their website. Pretty nice cuz you have several different tips that you purchase with the foredom wax pen...which is cheaper than buying it all separately.

Don't know if you pickedup with PopSculpture book... but Tim Bruckner recommends the Giles Precision... due to ease and simplicity. If your concerned about price... go visit the PopSculpture blog site. There is some type of code you can enter when you purchase the Giles. The code will allow for an additional 30% off retail price on the Giles Wax pen.

Hope this helps~ BTW, Gary at Willow is freaking awesome!! Takes time to answer questions and is just a really nice guy. Try them out!

Thanks for the suggestion guys. I've heard of Willow Products wax and I'll be sure to try them first now.

I'll check about that discount at PopSculpture's blog.

I'm also checking into cheaper homemade waxpen solutions that cost under $50.
