Smoothing Super Sculpey???

Hi guys,

I've been used to using Sculpey softener for smoothing my figurines but recently I've been finding it hard to locate any suppliers in the UK that sell any. Is there any other materials I could use to smooth out Super Sculpey?

Cheers

Phil

I typically use either 90% rubbing alcohol or lighter fluid if I have some serious smoothing to do. The lighter fluid you have to be a bit more cautious with as it will really smooth/take away details if you use too much. Rubbing alcohol is much more user friendly. I use both with a soft paint brush. Works really well.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Isopropanol 70% is known as rubbing alcohol and you can also get it at 99% which is harsher. I get it off Ebay.

George Weil supplies the sculpey softner in the UK.
Try adding a couple of drops to 70% isopropyl alcohol. Works a treat.
