PCS 1/3 scale?

OK, a little speculation here, I probably have too much free time. But from the Sons of Anarchy thread, Jerry was asked if he had the DC license:

We also know that a 1/3 Mortal Kombat and maybe Street Fighter line is already in the works.
When someone says "yes we'll do that but not 1/4 scale", people tend to assume it will be smaller, like 1/6, 1/5 or even 1/10 or 1/12.
What about 1/3? Many collectors have been asking for it for a while now, 1/3 it's big enough to have presence, yet small enough not to look like a little child (like many 1:2 Legendary Scales).
Also, it's much more reasonable dropping money on a big 1/3 than on a big 1/4, we all know what I mean ($600 for big PF it's just too much, and I'm not the only one who thinks this way).

So, should we expect PCS to beat Sideshow on this race and pull 1/3 collectibles to become their trademark? A 1/3 DC license would be a crazy if not overpriced.

Something between 1/4 and 1/2 is expected from Sideshow. I mean, when a 1/4 piece is priced at 600$ and a 1/2 at 2000$, you really need something in between, you can't just stick to big bases and tricks. Most SF and MK characters in 1/3 would be 60-65cm tall. Big, but still smaller than pieces like the Hulk Maquette, so a price point of $500 would be reasonable and they would have much more sheer presence and detail than 1/4. They would be for a very limited market, but now, a 1/3 DC license...

no interest in 1/3th scale... 1/4th is as big as we're willing to get not just the price tag but also simple because of the lack of space.
We like a lot of characters but finding space even for 1/4th scale is a challenge on its own. Don't need to make things more difficult by a bigger scale

The other thing to consider, quality. Ok, what do I mean? The bigger the piece the more attention to detail is required. Your lines must be perfect, you flesh tones flawless, even things like flesh details must be executed exceptionally well. Why? Because at 1/3 scale all of these things are now thrust into view where at 1/4 they were hidden unless you went up close to the statue.

I'd buy anything in 1:3 scale. The majority of my collection is all 1:2 stuff or equal. So it's a yes from me if that's the plan.

nothing bigger than 1/4 for me personally. Unless it's a 1:1 bust. but i can see why some would like it!

I would prefer true 1/4 scale for the SF statues than 1/3 scale. There aren't very many 1/3 statues out there so getting one would mean they would have to be displayed separately unless you don't mind the wonky scales.

1/3 could be one shot for me but not full line, my display case should be changed ...
