Should this statement bother me ?
There are though a few dust specs behind front glass element, but it does not affect performance of this great lens whatsoever.
It's on an ad for a lens.

If they're just "dust" then why can't the seller clean them off before selling the lens?

While no expert, how could dust not affect the performance of a lens? Also, if it is behind the front glass that also means the lens is no longer sealed as it should be.
I wouldn't take the chance.

Thanks guys. I have decide to stay away from the deal. It's just not worth it if I can't test it out.
Thanks again
