I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Gotham City Stories

Great... I was on the fence, but then I saw that Joker and am going to have to get this series... I wish the Catwoman had a more "classic" look, like the Joker. Enough of this Darwyn Cooke costume. But, I'll be getting them all and they will be going on the wall.

Hmmm, gotta say, I quite like 'em, but they do seem to be very small for the price...

I agree with sledge. Would like to see how big they are in real life, and if maybe I can get oen cheaper on ebay.

Yeah, they are small - I guess if you take DCDs bust pricing, then add a sculpted background "frame" around the, you get $99.99.

Like the sculpts, but can't say I'm crazy about the concept.

I got the first in the series... this is the price I pay for wanting that Joker and being a completist. Although, I'll have to rethink it, still... I'll have to take a hit if I cancel the others I have on order. I just love the classic look of that Joker.

I think the Batman piece looks fine, but I really should've taken a closer look at the specs. I realized by the height they were small, but I must not have been thinking clearly. I see I saw previously where I compared them to Batman B&W statues and I don't know why... unless the specs changed.

The $99.99 MSRP is ridiculous for something this small. I paid $65, but that is still too much. Looking at this, then looking at a Cover Girls statue makes it impossible to reconcile the cost.

And I did totally have the dimensions screwed up in my head or I just wasn't reconciling the solicit pics with reality. The piece itself looks decent. You'd just have to be getting REAL close to it to notice.

Looks pretty big here...

Not so much anymore... That wrinkled background is due to the backdrop essentially being wallpapered to the back. In the Joker solicit pics, I had imagined the green smoke being sculpted, but I am betting that is just the "wallpaper/sticker".

haha - thanks. I'm not sure it's mine, either. I'd be happier with it if I paid $30-$40. I think it would look better on the wall next to my desk with the others in the series. My appreciation for it increased as I moved it out of my display cabinet and onto my desk. You just have to be so close to get anything out of it.

The pricing is just weird. It doesn't really line up with their pricing for their other series, IMO. I typically come to DCDs defense when it comes to pricing, but not this time...

I might try to cherry pick the Joker if I can get him for a reasonable bargain at some point, but size vs price on these just doesn't compute for me.

Thanks for the pics.
