I think they said there would be; I don't know about fully helmet-less, but it'd be before the helmet fully extended to cover his face.

It's not confirmed until now if there will be a switch out head without the "helmet". We'll have to wait...

In terms of price, I think it's going to be more than your normal female because she seems to be pretty tall, plus she has those large wings that go around her body. I'm still hoping for $1000 or less - it sounds absurd to hope a 1/4 statue is only $1000 - but it's just guesswork at this point.

Iv only seen the anime where he hasnt donnned this armour yet, so i dont know if there are situations where he is unmasked in this armour, but for those who want one definitve piece from this line like me,, a unmasked portrait would have been great,, instead of another portrait which is just a bit more revealing
i would have got the Black swordsman Guts, but somehow i cant get over the huge base and all those gore,
I hope they do a variant with a simpler base for that one,, hopeful because they are known to make variants

Binge read the manga first. But if you want the basic barebones gist of the story, watch the recent animated movie trilogy then the recent 2 cour animated series ( Slan makes her appearance there ;) )Personally I'd add the first anime series as well. It's a bit dated, but there's a great deal of character development that makes you want to care about the characters.

You can buy Vol. 1 of season 1 (Ep 1-6) thru Amazon Japan. I think it's around $154 USD not including shipping though. I can't read Japanese and Google translate can only do so to a point, so it's kinda hard to navigate. :laugh:

I was under the impression he was asking because his English isn't the best, however yours seems fine. Just a note though they generally let you cancel one and transfer the NRD to another statue as a "one time courtesy". A lot of people here claim that they let you do that more than once but I haven't had luck. Also however note their official policy (which they have ignored for me before until I wouldn't let it go) is that if something is delayed by more than 3 months from the original date then you're entitled to a refund.

Yeah, I suspect SS got a lower allocation because Prime 1 is now selling them through their own website. I just ordered through the Prime 1 website, but the paypal checkout used the billing address that was on my Prime 1 account instead of the shipping address. So now the order has the wrong address and it won't let me change it. Anyway, I've just sent them an e-mail so hopefully they can sort it out.

Yeah I bought the headlong too but had to pay more than retail. Art of War is IMO not very good. There are only some Statues that I like and believe me I tried to like more ^^. I cannot understand until this day how some of them got "grail status" and costs much more than retail now. Guess it's because this time there weren't much other companies that made Berserk Statues.

On Fb in the P1 collectors Group a member opened a topic about the interests of new heads for the berserker armor cause the EX head is very similiar to the reg head. It was also mentioned a bust of Berserk Armor in the future which will has new heads that can be switched with the statue too. If you are interested for such a thing like it and write a comment, maybe P1 will hear us...

Unmasked Guts wouldn't work with this statue. They would have to make a 3rd set of arms with the armor stopping at the elbow. I started reading the manga after seeing this amazing P1 statue and wanting to know about the character, well I've just finished reading the 13th book just after the Eclipse and I now know what all the fuss is about, this story is truly amazing.

I feel the Griffith colours are what bug me most there, not the face. Hair and armor both need to be a little whiter/lighter - and the hawks need some texture/detailing so that they don't look like seagulls or doves!

I feel like with the Griffith statue they need to add a little more depth with the paint app on his armor. The problem I have with his face is the hair and eyes. He has Bush baby eyes lol, maybe make them a bit smaller and consider having him look more towards the side as opposed to straight forward. His hair reminds me of street fighter 5 characters play-doh looking hair.

DC has definitely more interested people, Berserk has also much but more "hardcore" Fans I would say. Also DC/Marvel have a very big hype because of the Films etc.

Griffith was one of the most antecipated pieces for me, but after seeing the prototype, I´m not feeling it at all. I´m now considering getting Femto instead, which was my favourite piece of the whole show and he will look great next to Slan and Void (who I believe will be made eventually).

I went to the show yesterday, and Femto is at least as amazing in person as he is in pics - I didn’t want to get him because he’s Femto, but I’m definitely ordering him now.

A lot of the Griffith statue is actually really impressive, but I did feel like the face (mostly the eyes) were a bit off. Hopefully they can rework that a bit.

Seeing all of these things in person is amazing, by the way; it helped me realize that I have to be really selective about what I buy because each statue is absolutely enormous. Speaking of enormous, I was a bit sad that Apostle Zodd wasn’t there; I thought he was confirmed for TCC. ;(

Zodd is 1/5 scale, but I think you might be confusing the Guts part with Tsume. There won't be a small scale Guts by p1.

Zodd 1/5 will be very big though. His hand is bigger than a human hand.

Griffith was one of the most antecipated pieces for me, but after seeing the prototype, I´m not feeling it at all. I´m now considering getting Femto instead, which was my favourite piece of the whole show and he will look great next to Slan and Void (who I believe will be made eventually).

Femto was incredible, so I would say that's a great choice. Kelvin posted a pic of the Griffith portrait next a manga panel it was supposedly directly inspired from and it looked as close as I can expect to a realistically textured, 3D translation of that image. I can see the image itself being divisive among anime fans, but I only know what little I've read of the manga.

I don't see TCC as disappointing, if only because the clearing of the DC reveal backlog seemed to be the mission statement as well as, not as explicitly, disproving the negative feedback they've received on their ability to capture actor likenesses, which they've done spectacularly on the JL line (whose timing with the movie also must've factored in to the focus as it's obvious from the actual release dates that those pieces are firmly in the prototype phase.)

That said, even as a DC fan, they barely scratched the surface of what their numerous announced licenses just for that brand would've lead me to believe were in the works. The Transformers and now-slowing Arkham lines perhaps spoiled me into thinking they had more than a few pieces planned for each announced license, especially ones as potentially enormous as Hush or Kingdom Come (those series were all about how many characters the creators could cram into an event) but I think pre-order numbers will determine series lifespan going forward.

As for the anime stuff, while I'd be more than satisfied (overwhelmed, in fact) just completing the Berserk line, it's clear that they've announced a lot of ---- while the ink was drying on license deals, perhaps before. Not so much as teasers from GitS, Studio Ghibli, the (I think) rumored Akira . . . Hell, I'm pretty sure Jerry Macaluso is the only person with any inkling as to what P1 is even allowed to do with their competing Street Fighter license and yet it's the banner on their FB group. I feel really bad for the mods over there constantly fielding questions regarding the statuses of any these licenses, not that I want fifteen POs with 2021 projected dates.

I don't think so but it's hard to tell. Smallest I know from them are busts and the cheapest was about 150 USD I think but more detailled than Puck.
So if they really sell him as a standalone I can't imagine he will cost about the same because of the size and details. My guess: 50 USD - max. 110 USD.

I like it. First I didn't like the face/hair too but in the pictures he looks fine (I know it's edited a bit), just hope he will arrive like this. But I really hate what P1 does with the second head and that it is only avaiable at P1 Store where the shipping is about 150 USD more than at SS (roughly). It really seems they want to seperate themselfs from SS, totally fine for me but they have to fix their shipping costs.

The P1 store exclusive is fine to me. If P1 didn't have store exclusives, no one would be ordering from them. It's an incentive for people to order from them so that P1 gets a bigger cut of the pie instead of Sideshow (or whoever else) getting most of the sales.

to who likes anyway the sculpt of face and hairs:

the statue is not bad but they totally failed to get the likeness of the character, does not resemble griffith and for hardcore fans is a knife in the heart, every true fan would like a new sculpt. I hardly believe Miura accepted this directly, and if he ever did he has low expectectation from statue market quality.
