How about the fist solo series for old Blue Eyes!

The Thing ... 36 issues from '83-'86

Master of Kung Fu had a long run but was extremely high quality in the later period... Zeck and Day were the artists ( I think) but I forget the writer... I mention this series because years ago I picked up a cheap lot of fifty or so issues... Very enjoyable reads...
John Carter was excellent as well...

Tomb of Dracula was one of my favorite titles from the 1970s. Don't know how much the full 70 issues'd run you, though.
