I was cautious and waited a while before trying it out. I talked to several buddies who had been using a specific service for a while without any issues so I decided to give it a go. That was 3 or 4 years ago and I have seen no issues.

Sniping is good. I usually try it unless it is an item that I know won't get any bids because I have not bidded on certain auctions and they end without any bids. Also, it never hurts to try different spellings and such for products.
